VIOLINIST

Anup Balasaheb Kulthe has gained ground in playing violin individually and also accompaniment Artist, applying accurate techniques, after studying and observing the traditions of Pt. Bhaskar bua Bakhale, great Violinist Pt. Shridhar Parsekar and Dr. Yehudi Menuhin. Since inception, he has taken lessons in Violin playing techniques from Shirish Balkrushna Upadhye of U.V.V.V. Pune. Academically, apart from having acquired a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, he has also completed B.A. and M.A. in Music (Violin). Anup is a recipient of various prestigious awards and honors such as the All India Radio competition, Sangeet Bhushan Ram Marathe Puraskar, Scholarship by N.C.P.A. performances at N.C.P.A. Mumbai, etc. Besides Violin playing, he has been successfully learning techniques of Violin restoration under the able tutelage of Shri K.P. Bhave.
